First Home Meet vs SECA Tomorrow, Go Barracudas!
Dear Swim Families,
Thank you to all the parent volunteers who were able to help with this morning’s Blue & Gold makeup meet! Tomorrow is our first home meet of the season, here is some information for our new families and a refresher for experienced families. This can all be found on the team website: www.bcccswimteam.com
- Meet Arrival:5:00pm
- Warm up Time:5:30pm
- Meet Start Time:6-6:15pm
Parent Checklist
- Blue & Gold outfit
- Sunglasses and/or hat
- Sunscreen
- Money for the bake sale
Swimmer Checklist-(will sit together as a team)
- Blanket to sit on
- 2 towels
- Cap, goggles & suit
- Sunscreen
- Dry clothes for afterwards
- Cards, coloring books, fun things to do between events
***PLEASE NO PLAY DOUGH OR SLIME AS THESE MAKE A TERRIBLE MESS THAT IS UNFAIR TO EXPECT PARENT VOLUNTEERS TO CLEAN UP AFTER THE MEET!***
Heat Advisory
Due to the heat tomorrow, families may want to consider the following items for both swimmers and parents.
- Water bottles, please label with your name
- Hats
- Sunglasses
- Cooling towels
- Cooling fans
Entrance to the swim meet is free, and the snack bar will be open with a special menu. You can pay with cash or member number!
Important Rule Reminders
- No alcohol is allowed on the pool deck during a meet!
- Swimmers, are not allowed in the water unless they are competing.
- Coaches are the only adults allowed behind the diving blocks, parents must watch their swimmers from the side of the pool.
- Do not approach the scoring table.
- Do not approach the ribbon table until all ribbons have been completed.

Team Suits & Gear
Team Suits, Caps and Spirit Wear have arrived! Orders can be picked up Tuesday morning during practice.
Weather Guidelines
- Thunder/Lightening-15 - 30 minutes out of the water
- Rain- As long as the bottom of the pool is visible the meet can continue.
- If rain, thunder and lightning are continuous the official and coaches will either cancel or reschedule the meet.
- In the event of inclement weather, communication will be sent out via the Remind app.
